Peppol in your software. Without the hassle.
PepTalk is the easiest way for software developers to connect their application to the Peppol network. Send and receive UBL documents through an API or simply via FTP. We take care of the rest.

The bridge between your software and the Peppol network
Your customers want to send and receive e-invoices over Peppol. But building a Peppol connection yourself is a project in its own right. PepTalk takes care of it, so you can keep focusing on your own product.
Building Peppol yourself
- Your own Access Point certification and maintenance
- Weeks to months studying standards, profiles and validation rules
- Following up registration and lookup of every participant yourself
- Building your own archiving, monitoring and error handling
- A new team to keep everything running 24/7
With PepTalk
- One simple connection: an API call or a file on FTP
- We register your customers on the Peppol network and look up recipients
- Validation, sending and receiving fully handled
- Automatic archiving and your own portal for follow-up
- Personal guidance during start-up and connection
Live on Peppol in three steps
From first conversation to first invoice sent. You test in a separate environment first and only switch to live when you are ready.
Register & test
You get access to the portal and a test environment. Your companies (or your customers' companies) are registered on the Peppol network and you receive an API key or FTP access.
Connect your software
Have your application create a UBL file and hand it to PepTalk via API or FTP. No Peppol knowledge needed, we help you get started.
Send & receive
We validate, send and archive your documents. Incoming documents come back to you. In the portal you follow everything in detail.
Choose the connection that fits your software
A modern web application or a classic system that writes files? Both work. You can even combine them.
One API call and you're done
Ideal for web applications, SaaS and any software that already works with REST services. Your system creates a UBL document and sends it to PepTalk. You get the status back immediately.
- Secured with an API key per company
- Immediate validation and clear error messages
- Status tracking per document: sent, delivered, error
- Separate test and live environments
<Invoice xmlns="urn:oasis:names:specification:ubl:schema:xsd:Invoice-2"> <cbc:CustomizationID>urn:cen.eu:en16931:2017#compliant #urn:fdc:peppol.eu:2017:poacc:billing:3.0</cbc:CustomizationID> <cbc:ID>26-000412</cbc:ID> <cbc:IssueDate>2026-03-17</cbc:IssueDate> <cbc:InvoiceTypeCode>380</cbc:InvoiceTypeCode> <!-- supplier, customer, lines, VAT ... --> </Invoice>
Drop the file. We do the rest.
Ideal for existing software that can already write files, without adding code for HTTP calls. Your application publishes UBL files to a folder on our FTP server and PepTalk picks them up.
- Works with anything that can copy or export a file
- Results and notifications available in the portal
- Perfect for scheduled exports and batch processing
- The same validation and archiving as via the API
$ put invoice-26-000412.xml → file received by PepTalk → validated as Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 → sent through the Peppol network → archived and visible in the portal
Invoices from your suppliers too
Peppol works in both directions. Documents received by your company or your customers are processed and stored. They are available in the portal straight away and can be delivered to your software.
- All incoming documents in a searchable archive
- Readable view of the UBL, including the embedded PDF
- Forwarding by e-mail to the right person
- Monthly ZIP download for your accountant
Full visibility on every document
Besides the connection, you get your own web portal. For you, your support team and your customers: what was sent, what came in and what needs attention?

The entire portal is available in Dutch, French and English. Every user picks their own language.

Good to know
What exactly is Peppol?
Peppol is an international network that lets companies exchange electronic documents, mainly invoices, directly and in a standardised way. You send your invoice to your own provider (a so-called Access Point), which delivers it to your customer's Access Point. Read the explanation.
Is e-invoicing mandatory in Belgium?
Since 1 January 2026, Belgian VAT-registered companies must exchange their B2B invoices electronically via the Peppol network, with a limited number of exceptions. For your software that means your customers expect Peppol support. This is not legal advice; if in doubt, ask your accountant or the FPS Finance.
Can I also send to the Netherlands or France?
Yes. PepTalk is compliant for use in Belgium, the Netherlands and France. The Peppol network is international: as long as your customer is connected to Peppol, your invoice reaches them through the same connection. See the Peppol IDs per country.
Do my customers need to be with PepTalk too?
No. Your customer can be with any Peppol provider. With the Peppol lookup in the portal you immediately see whether a recipient can be reached.
API or FTP, what's the difference?
With the API, your software sends the UBL document straight to us and gets an immediate answer. With FTP, your software writes the file to a folder and we pick it up. Both deliver the same result. Pick whichever is easiest in your environment. More details.
Does my software need to be able to create UBL?
Yes, PepTalk expects Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 UBL. If your software isn't there yet, we help you along with examples and validation during testing. You can also upload, validate and send UBL files manually from the portal.
Which document types are supported?
Invoices, credit notes, invoice responses and self-billing of invoices and credit notes. Feel free to contact us about other document types.
Can I test first?
Absolutely. Every company can run in test mode, completely separate from the live network. We only switch to live when you are happy.
What happens when a document fails?
Errors show up immediately in the portal as a notification, with the reason. Once you have fixed the problem, you can submit the document again.
Can I manage multiple companies?
Yes. You can manage multiple companies under one account, each with its own Peppol registration, document types, API key and users. Usage is tracked per company.
How much does PepTalk cost?
The price depends on your volume and the number of companies. Get in touch and you will receive a tailored proposal. Once you are live, you see usage and costs per company in the portal.
